Not to long ago I started a strength training program using kettle bells (something I had never used before). All started well. I watched the videos, read all the coaching tips and tried to copy the form as best as possible.
Then the inevitable happened. A few months after thinking I was doing everything right, I started to develop pains. Sure enough I had wandered from the original instructions, and developed some bad habits. Without retuning to the coaching material, or working with a live coach its pretty easy to do.
So it occurred to me that acupuncture is very similar. It’s like coaching for your bodies qi, or energy systems. Think how much time we spend each day creating bad qi habits. Hunching at our desks for long hours, eating in a flurry while often at those very same desks, or beating up our bodies doing hard sports over the weekends.
Receiving some regular, or even semi-regular acupuncture will help break up muscle spams, reduce stress damage and open up blockages of energy that may have been there for years, or has snuck back in when you were not focused on it.
So while I hope you have made some good resolutions this year to reach whatever goals yo may have, remember to seek out a good coach to keep you on the path.
